SPMS Athletic Boosters Newsletter 10.01.2023

 

Intramurals Updates

Intramural Girls Lacrosse
If your student is interested, please complete this Google Form (if you have not yet done so). Please also fill our the parent permission slip prior to joining. And, don’t forget to join SPMS Boosters today!

Girls who are interested in Lacrosse should bring their own mouth guard and any of their own equipment they have. (SPMS will also provide needed equipment for students who do not have their own.) Students may store their sticks during school hours either in the main office or in Mr. Wells’s classroom. We will keep you updated on exact details as soon as possible.  

Intramural Outdoor Basketball
Please fill out the parent permission slip prior to joining. Have your student dress in athletic wear and bring their own water bottle. And don’t forget to join SPMS Boosters today!

Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee is over now, but we had a blast! Great job students!

Sell Ice Cream to Support Sports and 8th Grade Activities 

The Athletic Boosters and the PTA are teaming up to sell ice cream after school to fundraise for school sports & 8th grade activities.  We need volunteers to make this effort successful!  Please click on this SIGN UP link to choose from the current available dates and times.  In addition, we are looking for a few volunteers on a more regular schedule to establish an Ice Cream Committee to help train new volunteers throughout the year.  Please email fundraising@spmsathleticboosters.org to get the full scoop!

Merchandise Sales 

The wait is over!  And it was worth it!  We are selling SPMS Tiger Cubs merchandise on SPMS Athletic Booster Club website. We’ve got lurking tiger tees, hoodies, sweatpants, and trucker hats! We’ve got paw print sweatpants and trucker hats! Start your holiday shopping today!
And for you old school folks, we still have the original dark grey tiger cub shirt in XL and still some clearance items for sale.

Cross Country Follow Up

Thank you to the cross country parents who volunteered last week to either run alongside the students or station themselves throughout the practice runs. This helped mitigate chaos! If your student is on the team and you are available to volunteer, please follow up on the Team Parent emails from last week. The team will continue to need volunteers for the next few weeks during their Tuesday and Thursday practice runs.

Intramurals Updates

Intramural Girls Lacrosse will begin on October 5th. Sessions will be held Thursday and Friday afternoons. Girls who are interested in playing should bring any of their own equipment they have (esp. mouth-guards). SPMS will also provide needed equipment. If your student is interested, please complete this Google Form (if you have not yet done so).

Intramural Outdoor Basketball will also begin in the coming weeks. More information in next week’s newsletter!

Intramural Ultimate Frisbee will run for two more weeks.
